Unfortunately, there is no way to verify if the new Iqama is issued in Saudi Arabia using the passport number, but you can check the status of the residence permit using the border number.
Verify the Iqama number with the border number
To check whether your resident permit number has been issued or not, visit the Ministry of Labour website:
- Open https://www.mol.gov.sa/IndividualUser/BasicInfo.aspx
- Change the language to "English".
- Enter the border number.
- Enter the date of birth as shown on your passport.

- The system will verify and retrieve details such as your name, gender, nationality, and residence permit number if it has already been issued by the Jawazat.

However, if the Ministry of Labour's system does not display the residence permit number, it means it has not yet been issued. In this case, you should check whether the work permit has been issued by the Ministry of Labour or not. To get all the latest news, please join our Telegram group. CLICK HERE
Check the Iqama status using the passport number
As previously mentioned, there is no way to verify whether your Iqama has been issued or not using only your passport number. You will need to use your border crossing number for this purpose.
What should be done if the Iqama is not issued?
Please note that if your Iqama is not issued by your employer within 90 days of your arrival in Saudi Arabia, you have the right to transfer your sponsorship without the consent of the Kafeel.
