Required documents: If you wish to replace your driver's license in Saudi Arabia, begin the online process with the following documents:
- Iqama identity card (front and back) Valid driver's license.
- Translation of your country's driver's license (front and back) into Arabic
- Bring 4 passport photos with you.
- Get a medical examination (available at clinics that provide medical examinations for driver's licenses)
- Eye exam and blood test (approximately 120 riyals)
Once your medical examination is finished, you will receive the results by text message within 2 to 24 hours.
Once you have all the necessary documents, you must follow the following steps.
1-Create and activate an account Abshar using your identification number, your telephone number and your bank account information.
2-In the Electronic Services section, click on Appointment, then on Traffic, and book an appointment.
3-Next, click on Traffic
4- Schedule an appointment
5-Check the box that suits you and the region closest to your home to make the appointment then press Next.
- Completed all the information (write your non-Saudi driver's license number…)
- Download a copy of your license (front and back)
- Download the Arabic Translation
- Pay the permit fees
- Confirm your appointment
- You will receive a confirmation SMS.
Go to the designated driving test center with all your documents and take your practical driving test. For European driving licenses, the driving test is not required.
