The General Department of Traffic in Saudi Arabia (Muroor) recently clarified, via a post on social media, the regulations concerning the number of vehicles that expatriates can own in the kingdom.
An internet user on X asked the following question: is it possible to buy and register a vehicle in one's own name while having another vehicle financed by a bank under another name, and to legally drive both cars?
In response, Muroor clarified that expatriates are permitted to own personal vehicles, but no more than two. This regulation aims to facilitate vehicle acquisition for foreign residents while ensuring compliance with the legal limit, making the process simple and transparent.
